After about 12 pictures taken this is the only one with my eyes open. I tried in every picture to keep them open and inevitably failed each time. I had to force them open like this. Mary got a kick out of it I am sure. Stupid flash is like staring into the headlights of an oncoming bus!I kept Matthew up late so I could take him to Forest Lake Campground and show him his first Fireworks. The big celebration for our special 4th of July weekend. This weekend means a lot to us. Matthew loved watching the fireworks and even though they were super loud he didn't even flinch. Instead he fell asleep. We had a good weekend.
