Sunday dec 6, 2009 at 12:10am Kevin arrived home from his 13 month deployment to Afghanistan. The ceremony was quick and memorable. Mary and Bill, Kevin's parents were both there to enjoy the special occasion. Matthew came too and with 2 hours of sleep he stayed awake for the entire 4.5 hour event. He was so good I could not have asked for him to be any better. Mommy and Daddy are so proud. He watched the many people and kids and played with some of the kids. I'm so thankful to have Kevin home safe and sound. He must have had many guardian angels watching over him.

And now we return to a somewhat normal life.

Growth spurt

So I finally came to the realization this week that Matthew has gone through another growth spurt. I keep dressing him in his regular clothes, things he wore and fit a week ago, and now they don't even reach past his ankles. Some of his shirts dont cover his belly either He needs new pants for sure. Nothing that says 12 months fits anymore. Kevin can shop for him when he gets home, and give him his new truck.
